My time as an intern at Luxury Villas Group, LVG, was such an amazing experience and made me even more certain that I did not make a mistake in choosing to study for a career in real estate.
Over the course of my internship, I have been able to learn more and put into actual practice, some aspects of real estate services especially agency, facility management, property management, marketing/client service and most importantly, professional work ethics and office etiquette. This I am certain will give me an edge over my coursemates and in no small measure aid me in writing my project for the award of my B.Sc. degree.
When I applied to intern at LVG, I had set some goals, most of which I am pleased to say I have achieved thanks to the favourable work environment here at LVG. Some of the goals achieved include gaining expert knowledge on facility management as well as property management which I have put into practice to the best of my ability, making editorial contributions to the company’s blog and online magazine, conducting agency follow-ups with the guidance of my immediate supervisors, understanding and perfecting my client service interactions at any point in time the need arises, sourcing for briefs/ leads for the company’s property portfolio, conducting myself in a professional manner befitting of a realtor among others which I will not enumerate for the sake of modesty.
I also want to thank the CEO Mr. Tommy Odama for taking out time to listen, advice and answer my questions when I approached him. I can proudly say that even though I didn’t have so many interactions with him, I have learned so much from him from afar by noting the way he comports himself, the caliber of people he associates with, the type of business deals he accepts and even the type of properties the company identifies with.
I highly commend him for the legacy he has imprinted upon LVG as a brand.
I deeply regret that I have to return back to school. LVG has become like a sort of family in the last few months as the staff made me feel welcome since day one starting with Mr. Alagbe, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Lekan, Miss Zino, Mr Idowu, Miss Bimbo and even Mr Peter, the butler.
I really enjoyed carrying out the duties assigned to me and I look forward to another opportunity to come back
to join the team sometime in the future. As I return back to complete my final year, I will be an ambassador for LVG and will always keep in touch with any leads that I get which will be beneficial to the company.
I have a few ideas and suggestions I have raised with Mr. Alagbe.
Once again, I’m grateful for the opportunity.
